SERVE

Serve With Us

Be the Hands + Feet of Jesus

Serving is being the hands and feet, serving as Jesus served us. Members of the church serve because all parts of the body work together for His glory to see people have life changing encounters in the presence of God.

Come Serve With Our Team

Once you become a member of New River, our hope is you would come be a part of a serve team in some capacity and help us serve together so others can experience the love of Jesus every time they come through our doors.

Want to Know More?

Are there any requirements for serve teams?

Certain ministries take licenses, experience or length of time attending here at the church. We also require a background check and completion of our Membership class.

Some examples of specific team requirements:

  • Security- Typically previous military, or police officer. 6 months serving in another ministry consistantly
  • Medical- Licensure/Certification/Degree
  • NRGen Ministry- 6 months attendance (except greeters, or check in)
  • Worship- Audition process
  • Group Leaders- requires attendance of a group as an intern
How do you typically schedule your volunteers?

We typically schedule our volunteers on a rotation of every other week. You can choose between:
1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of the month
OR 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month

Once you decide which rotation is best for you, you can let us know if you would rather serve in the 9am or 11am service.

What does the time commitment look like?

We ask all volunteers to arrive 30 minutes prior to service starting so we can huddle and pray and hear any announcements before starting!
